when introduced, along with working to such places as Whyalla and Leigh
Creek.
In 1993, they were rebuilt as the ALF class.
ALF class:
The sphere of operations the ALF class was similar to that of the AL's,
with this being
extended
to Melbourne with the standardisation to there. Part of the upgrade
involved
the addition of the "Dash 2" electrical system.
