The NC class was another narrow gauge shunting class, and this time
the
two locos originated from the Lakewood Firewood Company, which operated
a
190km private railway out of Kalgoorlie (that supplied timber to the
mines).
NC1 was used for shunting at Darwin and Port Augusta, while NC2 shunted
at
Port Augusta only, and was later used for spares for NC1.
