These CargoSprinters are something new - a small unit, designed to
operate
push-pull, and for use on smaller trains for short-haul freight, so as
to compete better with road transport. After a variety of operations
initially,
they are now used on a 'Portlink' service in Melbourne, but have since
been withdrawn due to lack of service.
Named locomotives:
| CS101 | Jack Rees |
| CS102 | Betty Rees |
The two locos are named after Colin Rees' parents.
