Model Numbers
Walkers is an engineering firm based in Maryborough, Queensland, and
is a subsidiary of Evans Deakin Industries (EDI). In the 1980's, Clyde
Industries unsuccessfully tried to takeover EDI, and now, the reverse
has occurred. The two were merged in October 2001 to become EDI Rail.
Walkers has built around 160 locos for Australian operators, with most
of these being used for shunting.
